Criminalization of Immorality

It makes no sense to criminalize something based on morality since the people who believe it to be immoral wouldn't do it anyway, and the ones who would obviously don't believe it to be immoral.

To criminalize something based on morality therefore, would be to criminalize something based on your personal preferences and beliefs. It would also imply that you have greater authority over someone else's beliefs and moral choosing than they do.

As a friend of mine describes it as "2 wolves and 1 sheep voting on dinner."
